Our Service Coordinators assist residents in public housing efforts to move toward self-sufficiency. Ocean Bay CDC also services homeowners and private renters in obtaining services and referrals.
All programming begins with an in person orientation session by appointment or walk-in. The session provides an overview of the services and referrals available. Some of the service and referral offerings are SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) screening, legal assistance, rental assistance, vocational training, and health insurance enrollment.
Ocean Bay has a host of partners throughout the New York area that provide vocational and educational opportunities to the residents of the Rockaway peninsula. Ocean Bay Community Development Corporation has a long standing relationship with the NYCHA( REES) Resident Economic Empowerment and Sustainability and Resident Training Academy.
Our Service Coordinators will develop a Service Plan with the client and make an informed decision on how to best move forward to attain their goals.
